Monthly eZine covering trends in Internet Marketing and explaining the best tactics.

First, let me say that the title of this article is intended to be sarcastic, lest anyone should read further thinking they are going to get a surefire method that they can put to practice.  Also, my apologies to Ken Evoy for the takeoff on his product name - but as I said, the title is intended to be sarcastic.

Recently I was scanning through the posts in one of the more respected forums on the web where webmasters share ideas about almost everything.  On any given day you will see posts from "newbies" and veterans alike soliciting help with some problem, or recommendations for a tool that might help them in advertising, or managing their opt-in lists, etc.

While it makes it very clear why people are getting fed up with the notion of the "internet marketing guru", and the fact that every Tom, Dick and Harry out there professes to be one - this following post was really...

FREE Viral Traffic Generation

ad-CLiX - Major Release

1 July 2002 - Richmond, Virginia

Today, ad-CLiX announced the first totally free traffic generation capability of it's kind.

The ad-CLiX Traffic Generation Network incorporates the ability to combine Banner Advertising with non-intrusive pop-under Exit Page Advertising to their target market, in a free multi-level exchange network that allows members to benefit from the exchange credits earned by new members recruited under them.

This combination of advertising medium with the multi-level sub-network creates a "viral" effect allowing a member to benefit from exchange credits earned by others in the member's down-line sub-network.

The Banners Ads and Exit Page Advertising may be directed to the same or different target markets, and the member may temporarily disable either at any time.  While disabled, credits are still earned and accumulated - waiting for that aspect of the marketing campaign to be re-instated.

While the ad-CLiX network provides tools to allow a member to pro-actively recruit new members into their sub-network (and thereby build their sub-network more aggressively), what really sets ad-CLiX apart is the passive building efforts by the system that are constantly working to build members' sub-networks for them.  Any new member (that was not referred by an existing member) will automatically be assigned to the sub-network of an existing member, thereby building a member's sub-network through no effort on his part.

Only a fixed number of "un-referred" members will be maintained, as a base upon which to build.  Since any leg of a sub-network may only extend to 4 levels, there is no inherent advantage to being an "un-referred" member.

The ad-CLiX Traffic Exchange Network may be joined by visiting the site at http://ad-CLiX.com.  Immediate credits are issued for 1000 Banner Ad exposures and 1000 Exit Page visits immediately upon completing the brief sign-up process, so there is no delay (waiting for advertising credits to build) before a members site begins to receive traffic in their target market.

July 2002

In this issue...
This month's article is just my railing against the proliferation of the supposed "internet marketing guru".  It has become a cliche, but there really are a few out there.
