Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising is not new, and there are a number of models, but I've been really conservative (cheap) and hadn't tried them until about a month ago.

You probably have at least a rudimentary grasp of PPC advertising offered on the search engines, but for what it's worth, I prefer Google's format.

Google's AdWords are displayed vertically to the right of the search page, rather than pre-empting the legitimate search results by pushing themselves in at the top of the page to imitate normal listings.

My gut says that the consumer probably prefers this format, too.  And maybe that's one small reason for their increasing popularity in the marketplace.

Guys,
I raise my glass and toast you! I've spent 8 years on the 'net trying desperately to earn some decent money from selling products (both mine and others).  Failed dismally.

2 days with you guys and I've already had 4 requests for Jv's.

Man I'm stoked! This is what I was missing!  Thank You!  My very deepest gratitude and admiration.

The Definition of Power Linking: A Tiny Case Study

by Jack Humphrey

Many people who read about Power Linking all over the web think "That's great, but what IS Power Linking?"

Today you get to SEE what Power Linking is, in action!

1) Go to Google and type "jack humphrey marketing" in the search box.

THAT'S Power Linking. The first TWO pages of Google search results showing the many different ways I get links. Articles, reviews, blogs, affiliates, forum posts, reciprocal links, press releases, it goes on forever.

The point is not to show I am ranked for the term "jack humphrey marketing" - that's no big deal. It is to show you what a Power Linking campaign does for...

New Developments at ExactSeek

by Sid Hale

This is pretty new, so I can't report fully on it yet, but in case you missed the news...

I ran across an item last week that may be of interest, and I'll share what I've learned so far.

First, ExactSeek has formed a partnership with Alexa.  The essence of this is that they have begun to use the popularity rating from Alexa.com as a major factor in ranking their search results.

What I find most interesting about this is that it makes ExactSeek the first and only search engine to include something other than content, and incoming and outgoing links to determine...
